Canadian Shore Lunch
One of the highlights of your trip will be the traditional shore lunch served in the great Canadian Wilderness! Each day at noon your boat will meet up with others in your group for lunch. You will gather at a picturesque sight on a rock outcropping on one of the famous lakes on the English River System. Lunch will be prepared by your guides, and will feature Walleye from your catch that morning. Sit back, relax with a beverage, and enjoy the sights as your guides prepare the mouthwatering good food. On occasion preparation of the shore lunch is interrupted by the excitement of a member of your party hooking into a lunker while casting from the shoreline. Guides scramble for nets and plenty of advice is offered as the drama plays out! Besides fish, you will dine on potatoes, baked beans or corn, fresh baked bread, and cookies for dessert. The traditional shore lunch features fish fried in lard; however, for the health conscience, you can request that you fish be prepared in oil. Our guides also steam some of the walleye after preparing it with their secret recipe of spices. All in all it will be a culinary experience that you aren’t likely to soon forget!
